John P. Kelly
John P. Kelly
Mr. Kelly is a founding partner of HC Private Investments. Prior to founding HC Private Investments in 2016, Mr. Kelly was an investment professional at The Tokarz Group Advisers, a lower middle-market private equity firm with offices in New York and Chicago. Mr. Kelly currently serves on the board of Epicurean Butter, QEI, Prince Industries, and Springboard Manufacturing. Previously, Mr. Kelly was in the investment banking group of Bear, Stearns & Co. Mr. Kelly holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is actively involved with the Big Shoulders Fund, the Evans Scholar Foundation and the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education.
Matthew J. Moran
Matthew J. Moran
Mr. Moran is a founding partner of HC Private Investments. Prior to founding HC Private Investments in 2016, Mr. Moran was a senior investment professional at Wind Point Partners, a middle-market private equity firm based in Chicago. Mr. Moran currently serves on the board of Epicurean Butter, QEI, Prince Industries and Springboard Manufacturing. Previously, Mr. Moran was a financial analyst at Lehman Brothers and Duff & Phelps. Mr. Moran holds a BA with high distinction in economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is actively involved with Little Heroes League and the Evans Scholar Foundation.
Drew Niceley
Drew Niceley
Mr. Niceley is a Vice President at HC Private Investments. Before joining HC Private Investments in 2024, Mr. Niceley worked in Financial Planning and Analysis within several private equity backed businesses. Mr. Niceley holds a BA in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and an MBA with great distinction from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business.
Joseph Niciforo
Joseph Niciforo
Joseph Niciforo is a founding member of HC Private Investments and serves on the firm’s investment committee. Mr. Niciforo is currently the Chairman and CEO of HC Technologies an algorithmic trading firm and hedge fund seeding business with offices in Chicago, New York and London. Mr. Niciforo began his career at Tudor Investment Corporation in 1987. He was named an original class partner at Tudor in 1990 and as Managing Director-U.S. Fixed Income. In 2004, he founded Twinfields Capital Management, a global fixed income hedge fund. Twinfields was additionally responsible for helping build and seed three hedge funds with asset totaling over $2 billion. Previously, Mr. Niciforo served on the Chicago Board of Trade Board and as a Board Member of the CME Group where he remained through 2014. Mr. Niciforo graduated from Georgetown University in 1982. He continued his education at Fordham University School of Law where he graduated and became a member of the New York State Bar in 1988. He is actively involved in Misericordia Home, The Greenwood School, Fordham Law School and Georgetown University.
Taylor Reynolds

Ms. Reynolds is a Vice President at HC Private Investments. Prior to joining HC Private Investments in 2024, Ms. Reynolds worked in Corporate Strategy at West Monroe Partners, a management consulting firm in Chicago. Ms. Reynolds started her career in management consulting at Accenture, focusing on clients in the consumer & industrial products sector. Ms. Reynolds holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management.
Ryan Sullivan
Ryan Sullivan
Mr. Sullivan leads HCPI’s operations team working with portfolio companies to identify and implement value creation initiatives. Mr. Sullivan currently serves on the board of Epicurean Butter and Prince Industries. As a former CEO and senior executive at several industry leading companies, Mr. Sullivan has extensive experience in diverse industries including building and industrial products, power generation and telecommunications. Previously, Mr. Sullivan was CEO of Riverbend Industries (formerly Continental Materials Corporation NYSE: CUO) a holding company consisting of ten North American manufacturing companies. Prior to Riverbend, he served as Executive Vice President and President of North America at James Hardie Building Products as well as President of North America for Kingspan Insulation. Mr. Sullivan holds a mechanical engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA and an electrical engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He is actively involved in the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center.
